This practice can be carried out by anyone around you, including shopkeepers, salespeople or employees.<\/p><p><strong>Minimize fraud risks:<\/strong><br>\u2013 Protect yourself and protect yourself when entering operational codes into ATM machines, whether to make transfers, payments, check account balances and bank statements, or for any and all transactions you carry out with your credit or debit card;<br>\u2013 Before entering your transaction code, check that the amount entered on the machines corresponds to the actual amount of your purchase;<br>\u2013 Keep copies of purchase and payment receipts for the period following the purchase;<br>\u2013 Regularly update and check your bank account statements;<br>\u2013 In case of theft or loss of identity documents and bank transaction cards, immediately contact the police nearest to the location of the theft or loss and inform your bank to cancel the transactions.<\/p><p><strong>Online fraud, avoid it!<\/strong><br>When buying and selling goods online, you can never be too careful. In general, fraudsters seek, above all, to obtain all your personal information, as well as data relating to bank accounts, telephone contacts, access data (usernames and passwords) to bank accounts, emails and personal accounts, among others.<\/p><p><strong>How to avoid falling victim to online fraud:<\/strong><br> \u2013 Do not provide your access data to personal areas to anyone;<br>\u2013 When creating new passwords, make sure they are highly memorable, personal and non-transferable;<br>\u2013 When you receive emails from suspicious or unknown sources, do not open them and place them directly in the recycle bin;<br> \u2013 Be aware of manipulation attempts through chats and other online conversation platforms;<br> \u2013 Do not allow your internet browser to automatically remember passwords on websites that access personal and confidential data;<br> \u2013 Download documents and other materials only from certified websites;<br> \u2013 Monitor your online purchases daily and don&#8217;t hesitate to ask sellers about the status of your transfers.<\/p><h4 style=\"color: #ff6600;\">PROTECT YOURSELF AGAINST FRAUD<\/h4><p>Whenever you suspect or have evidence of having been the victim of an attempted or completed fraud in the services provided by our institution, you must report it immediately through the channels indicated below:<\/p><p><strong>1 \u2013 Area, contact and person responsible for supporting customers in fraud situations<\/strong><br> The area responsible for supporting customers in the event of fraud and fraud-related complaints is the Internal Audit area, which is headed by the employee<br> Vanessa Peredo.<\/p><p><strong>Contacts<\/strong><br> Internal Audit Department<br> <strong>Email<\/strong> : <a href=\"mailto:suspeito.fraude@maxpay.com.pt\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">suspicious.fraude@maxpay.com.pt<\/a><br> Duque de Saldanha Square, No. 1 \u2013 4th floor \u2013 Room GB \u2013 1050-094 Lisbon<\/p><p><strong>2 \u2013 Ways of communicating information in case of fraud<\/strong><br> Customers and Third Parties: Communications from customers or third parties must be made via the following email address: <a href=\"mailto:suspeito.fraude@maxpay.com.pt\">suspect.fraude@maxpay.com.pt<\/a><br> Employees: Any employee has an obligation to report instances of fraud, even if they may only be suspected.
